Views from Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks

After we left Vegas, we traveled north and stopped at Zion National Park.

From Zion we continued north to Bryce Canyon where we stayed at Ruby's Inn just outside the park. If you plan on visiting, I recommend staying here.

  1. Joan, my wife and I drove out west to Utah last year and visited both these parks. They are truly amazing! We drove through Zion and passed through Vegas and then went down through Arizona to see the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. It was a fantastic road trip! I posted a few pics on my site last year after I came back: http://steventill.com/2008/08/26/back-from-out-west/

  2. After Bryce, we drove south to the Grand Canyon, then Petrified Forest and then Sedona where we visited Montezuma Castle and Well and the Tuzigoot National Monuments. From Sedona, we spent some time at the Red Oak National Forest before driving back to Las Vegas to catch our plane home. I still have to sort through those photos, but I'll be posting slide shows of them next.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us. They are gorgeous!

It's such fun to revisit these incredible parks and monuments.

  3. What are Montezuma Castle and Well and the Tuzigoot National Monuments? I'm not familiar with those.

  4. These three national monuments are the archeological remains of the Sinagua and located near Sedona. The sites are pretty amazing and I took way too many pics of each (so what else is new). I've been sorting through the photos and will be posting slide shows of these sites within the next few days. Meanwhile, please enjoy the images from Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest in a later post.
